Four-Four-Two names Fernando Torres as one of the top three players in the World
Each
year the prestigious British football magazine Four-Four-Two draws up a
list of the best 100 football players from around the world. The
Liverpool striker makes the top three with Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi
joining the Spaniard on the podium; the Portuguese winger taking top
spot, with the Barcelona player in second place.
Torres is
joined by fellow Spain players Iker Casillas and David Villa in the top
ten, with Liverpool team-mate and captain Steven Gerrard in tenth
place.
Four-Four-Two’s selection joins an ever-growing list of
publications and awards who have pin-pointed the striker as one of the
best in the game: France Football (Golden Ball), FIFA World Player,
UEFA, Onze Mondial (Golden Eleven), FIFPro, Northwest Awards, Madrid
Man of the Year (Madrid Diario Newspaper)… are just but few of the
examples.
